La Villa Gaia

A little old-world, Villa Gaia is
winsome and homely. The house, surrounded by patios
and flowerbeds and tucked away in a
garden abundant in mature trees, was restored at the
beginning of the last century and
graciously avoided trends in decoration. For three generations
now the proprietors have brought together
old furniture, ornaments, paintings and holiday mementoes.
A sitting-room with stereo as well
as a library are available to the guests.
One can either enjoy the patio
area or the lounge whilst awaiting to be invited to
the dining-room, as the meals are
served at set times. The evening meal is served at 8
o’clock.
Pristine tablecloths, a bouquet of
flowers and damask napkins finish off either the library,
pergola or summer lounge, the judge being the weather. The choice is made for
